The significance of Friday, April 18, 2025 is profound.
Friday is the 250th anniversary of the ringing of the bells at the Old North Church.
Two hundred fifty years ago, on the night of April 18, 1775, a quiet but decisive act of defiance set the course for revolution.
Under the cover of darkness, Robert Newman and Captain John Pulling ascended the steeple of Old North Church and briefly hung two lanterns.
Their signal, seen by Paul Revere and William Dawes, launched the legendary midnight rides to warn the countryside of the British advance.
