We can all see what ICE is doing across America right now – and we refuse to be silent during the rise of intimidation, fear, and violence that they’ve embraced as a part of their playbook.
And we refuse to be intimidated by them.
That’s why Trader Joe’s crew members in our union have begun wearing anti-ICE pins at work – a simple, visible way to remind everyone that ICE has no legal right to enter our workplaces without a warrant, and to show solidarity with fellow workers being targeted by ICE and its agents.
But now, store managers are threatening to confiscate these pins from crew members — despite the fact that it’s a protected concerted activity, because ICE raids at OUR workplaces affect our working conditions.
This is clearly aimed at silencing workers who are standing up for each other and for their communities.
