An Intensely Personal Experience

If you are staying informed about
happenings in America these last months,
and actually, even if you are not,
you are living through an attempted coup
by a wanna-be king and his oligarch tribe.

As this reality came into view, I vowed
to do my part to ensure word got out
and to stand against the terror.

So, I have been reposting information
and sharing about the people's resistance.
And, I sought out community to stand
against the oppressors and for us.

All of this has jettisoned me on a profound
  personal journey, oscillating between
  questioning, mourning, despair, anger,
  exhaustion, hope, confusion, shock...repeat.

So many revelations...
  Living and loving is resistance!
Change is constant and chaotic, and
only by 'going with the flow' will you
learn and find your way through it to
  the other side.

And yes, there is so much pain, so much loss.
You have to stay in the pain to learn
what it has to teach you and then grow
into the new space created by the pain.

You allow the crisis to break you down
  or to break you open.
If you let it break you down,
you will close, hide, give up, lose hope...

If you allow yourself to be broken open,
you will be challenged to grow into your self.
You see more deeply into your self,
You discover truths that no longer resonate.
You see patterns that may not be healthy.

And through it all, you make the choices!

The crisis is upon us, all around us.
  It threatens everything and everyone.
We are called to allow life to break us open
so that we can grow into our greatest potential.

So, hold on, hold each other, step forward
and open up to life as it unfolds around us.
