REMINDERS
ONE | Don’t forget! Stay safe & commit to nonviolence
No Kings is a nonviolence movement. Regardless of personal beliefs, honor the organizer’s time and effort by respecting their stance.
On the safety front…
Expect a police presence. Expect agitators posing as allies. Expect counter protesters.
If you haven’t yet take time to listen to or watch this one hour training, do it before Saturday. It covers de-escalation, safety, and your rights. WATCH IT.
For additional tips, like items to bring and more, read this article.
TWO | Take care of one another
No Kings is, in part, about community. Authoritarianism feeds on terror, isolation, and silence. Fight it by creating community.
Connect to a local group.
Encourage one another.
And, if anyone has a need, try to meet it.
THREE | Connect on Saturday & get involved NEXT WEEK
No Kings is one day, but its work continues into the next week, next month, and next year. In all likelihood, sponsoring organizations will have information on how to connect locally. CONNECT.
Get the information and make a plan to volunteer, phone bank, gather, or protest within the next couple weeks.
